“ There are a lot of good burger joints on the west side of Tulsa. Here is one, the historic, iconic Linda Mar. A bright mustard yellow and ketchup red, painted building; not much bigger than a two-car garage on the outside, with a one car garage sized dining area, on the inside. A classic burger dive. And speaking of cars; inside the diner walls are covered with ancient pictures and articles of local stock car racers and their cars. If you are old enough to recognize any of the names or faces that you see on the wall, well it is likely that you have already had to have at least one hip replacement. “ Recently the Son and I were in town (Tulsa) and decided to make the drive over to Linda Mar and grab a burger for lunch. So glad we did. I've know about Linda Mar since, well, forever because I had family in Oakhurst, and I spent time off and on in that part of town over the years. We both had a double cheeseburger with bacon and fries and we split an order of their jalapeno chicken. The burgers were the real deal. Great crust on the patty, fresh lettuce and tomato, piled so high I thought I might have to unhinge my jaw to get a bite. The chicken was a welcome addition. We wouldn't ordinarily get it in addition to the burgers, but since I don't get out that way hardly ever I wanted to try it while I could. Well cooked and seasoned, the addition of the jalapenos made a great flavor. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The place is small, and divey. Just the kind of place I love. ”
